The Recall Social Foundation’s governance philosophy is built on a strong framework of laws, regulations, ethical practices, and responsible management that enables the organisation to function efficiently and transparently. With a mission to eliminate classroom hunger through the Mid-Day Meal Programme, we remain committed to adopting the highest standards of governance to build long-term trust among all stakeholders. Our value system and governance culture are deeply rooted in principles of trusteeship, and our core philosophy is guided by four key tenets:
1. Board accountability to the organisation and stakeholders:
We ensure complete responsibility and ownership of all organisational activities and provide a fair, transparent, and balanced representation of our progress and future plans.
2. Equitable treatment of all stakeholders:
Regardless of size, background, or contribution — whether individual, corporate, domestic, or international — every stakeholder is treated with equal respect and importance.
3. Strategic guidance and effective monitoring by the Board:
Our Board members are equipped with timely information to make informed decisions, offer strategic direction, and oversee long-term sustainability.
4. Transparency and timely disclosure:
We prioritise clear, reliable, and timely communication to ensure information remains accessible to all stakeholders.
In line with these principles, Recall Social Foundation continually strives for excellence.
We believe in building institutional integrity and sustaining trust across all our partnerships. The Recall Social Social Foundation works closely with the Central Government and various State Governments to implement the Mid-Day Meal Programme under a strong Public-Private Partnership model. This collaboration — strengthened by support through grain and cash subsidies — helps us maintain strong governance and operational efficiency.
With the continued encouragement of government bodies, corporate partners, generous donors, and well-wishers, Recall Social Foundation has grown remarkably — from serving just 1,500 children in 5 schools in 2000 to nourishing 2.2 million children every single day.
